Job Title: Brand Manager (E-commerce)
Location: Bangalore
Reporting to: Business Head/Growth Head
Role Overview
We are looking for a Category/Brand/E-commerce Manager who can take complete ownership of a brand’s performance across e-commerce marketplaces. This role is not limited to marketing or operations alone it requires end-to-end responsibility across growth, P&L, execution, and cross-functional coordination.
You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to scale brands profitably while maintaining strong hygiene across numbers, platforms, and processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business & P&L Ownership
· Own GMV, contribution margin, marketing spends, and profitability for assigned brands
· Track and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
· Review P&L, variance analysis, and recovery plans
· Ensure spends are aligned to outcomes, not just budgets
2. Marketplace Management
· Manage day-to-day operations across platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy IM, BigBasket, etc.
· Drive listing hygiene, content quality, IDQ scores, ratings & reviews
· Coordinate with platform KAMs for visibility, programs, and scale initiatives
3. Growth & Marketing Planning
· Plan performance marketing, deals, promotions, and campaigns
· Track ROI on AMS, platform ads, deals, and visibility programs
· Balance growth with profitability avoid blind discounting, or spend-led growth
4. Planning & Execution
· Build monthly and quarterly operating plans
· Execute launches, expansions, and recovery plans
· Work closely with supply chain to ensure fill rates, availability, and forecasting
5. Data, Reporting & Reviews
· Maintain dashboards and MIS for sales, marketing, inventory, and P&L
· Present clear updates internally and to clients
· Use data to identify issues early and course-correct quickly
6. Stakeholder Management
· Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams and brand partners
· Ensure structured communication and alignment
· Escalate issues with solutions, not just problems
What We’re Looking ForMust-have:
· 5+ years of experience in e-commerce, D2C, FMCG, or consumer brands
· Strong understanding of marketplace mechanics and P&L
· Comfortable with numbers, spreadsheets, and performance metrics
· A high ownership mindset you treat the brand like your own business
· Ability to manage and run a highly goal driven team
Good to have:
· Experience managing multiple platforms
· Exposure to quick commerce
· Prior experience in brand launches or turnaround situations
