We are seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer (R&D) to develop, optimize, and control chemical processes used in metal surface treatment, plating, coating, and finishing for fashion accessories. The role focuses on innovation, quality improvement, cost reduction, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Development
Develop and improve plating, coating, lacquering, and surface treatment formulations.
Conduct trials for new finishes, colors, textures, and corrosion-resistant coatings.
Support product development as per buyer and fashion trend requirements.
Process Optimization
Optimize chemical processes to improve quality consistency, yield, and productivity.
Reduce chemical consumption, waste, and process cycle time.
Troubleshoot quality defects related to finish, adhesion, corrosion, and discoloration.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s / master’s degree in chemical engineering or related field.
3–5 years of experience in metal finishing, electroplating, surface coating, or chemical processing (fashion accessories / hardware industry preferred).
